They've been helping our community for years, but only recently received an update to their website that allows them to communicate effectively and powerfully with their many members.

Spinning Your Web worked with the Council to get their most important information online, including Program details, an online Event Calendar, downloadable fliers and forms, and more.

Best of all, the Council staff update their website themselves using the powerful yet intuitive Macromedia Contribute application. SYW built Contribute compatibility directly into the website to maximize the Council's ability to access and update their information.

- Galaxie Coffee Service Corporation - Website and Online Store:

GalaxieCoffee.com started with a short submission from our online contact form.

Galaxie Coffee was a well-established office coffee service with customers all over Long Island and the nation, but they didn't have a website and were missing out on the web's powerful advertising and direct e-commerce sales potential.

Spinning Your Web began working with Galaxie on a five page static HTML website, but the project expanded to include multimedia features and a major e-commerce expansion.

Galaxie Coffee now has a site rich in custom features, including product photography, video demos of their equipment, an Adobe PDF version of their catalog, and an online store.

Galaxie's customers can check up on their specials and premium coffees, and now they can buy the coffee and supplies they need, 24 hours a day, all around the country with the Galaxie Online Miva Storefront.

- Yoga Works - A Long Island Yoga Studio and Boutique:

Yoga Works is a new Yoga Studio and Boutique in Babylon, Long Island. Yoga Works specializes in Kripalu Yoga, but offers classes in Svaroopa Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates, and more.

Yoga Works is a true small business with dedicated owners, great potential, and the need for a cost-effective marketing strategy. Yoga Works turned to Spinning Your Web to bring class schedules, wellness workshop information, and great Yoga facts to the Long Island audience.

Harbourfront Consulting Group, LLC is all about business. When a team of experienced energy consultants needed to launch a bold, professional website for their new venture, Spinning Your Web created a new look for Harbourfront. The result is a site that conveys business essentials to high-level decision makers, yet steps back to let Harbourfront's credentials speak for themselves.

A key component of the Harbourfront's site is the HFC News section, where the principles of the Group can post current articles and updates concerning their industry. - jahxiii : The Art of John Hawley - Online Gallery, Message Boards, and more:

John Hawley is a young artists based on Long Island. Looking to expand the reach and impact of his highly-charged, super colorful artwork, he turned to Spinning Your Web for a website that matched his style and was easy to manage.

He got an intuitive, modern looking website with a strong PHP and MySQL database-driven back end.

The new jahxiii.com contains an administration interface for John only. Password protected, it allows him to add images to his growing gallery, name and categorize them, and have them appear instantly, in real time, on his website.

The website also contains a guest book for visitors to post their thoughts to John and the world, as well as a contact form and lots of great art.

- Wide Open Eye, Digital Photography and Imaging:

Wide Open Eye began as a collection of digital galleries, but was recently redesigned to be a companion site to Spinning Your Web, offering professional digital photography and imaging services to Long Island. With its redesign, WideOpenEye.com gained an interactive feedback form, enhanced navigation, and a new, more professional logo and look.

The photographs at Wide Open Eye still form the core of the website. With elegant and easy to navigate galleries, viewers can browse a wide variety of images organized by theme. WideOpenEye.com demonstrates the ability of a well-designed website to share both art and business with an unlimited audience.

- East End House - a summer rental property in Amagansett:

Rather than limit themselves to an ad in the local paper, the owners of this premium Hamptons rental property expanded the impact of their advertising with a full-featured website

Their target audience can browse photos of the house, review its accommodations, and easily obtain contact information.

Navigation throughout the site is made friendly and attractive with custom shell icons, while the consistent placement of the custom logo and navigation ensures easy access to the site's critical information. Eastendhouse.com also includes an extensive photo gallery, rates, and custom maps. The house hasn't been empty since the website's launch.

- All Souls Episcopal Church, Stony Brook Long Island:

Custom-designed for a small but historic church, the All Souls Episcopal Church website features information about the church's history and vicar, details on upcoming events and educational programs, a dynamic online calendar, and lots of beautiful custom photography.

The congregation wanted to replace an older site that offered visitors a single, text-only page. They provided much of the text and some of the photos. We visited the church to capture some more high-quality digital images, and then put the entire package together in an attractive, easy-to-navigate, and welcoming website.
